About
Cardiac arrest kills. But what if so did our resuscitation? Resuspicious is a blog about the science of resuscitation and the art of questioning everything. What if the standard of care is wrong? This blog is here to explore that. I’m suspicious of our resuscitation.
OHCA kills hundreds of thousands of people every year, and survival rates have barely moved in decades. We’re getting better at getting ROSC, but we’re lagging behind on long-term survivability without neurological deficit.
That gap, between performing CPR and perfusing a brain, is what this blog is about.
What will you find here? My thoughts and ideas, literature reviews of recent studies, and hopefully the start of a conversation about the future of resuscitation. I have theories, I have questions, and I have ideas. Maybe we can figure out how to make a difference. Or maybe we can’t. But I’m here to try.
